Beamish

Today was Karl's birthday and what a busy day we've had! We decided to take advantage of the sunshine and visited Beamish (I haven't been for at least 20 years - i vividly remember having a panic attack in the drift mine as a child).

We had a lovely time there and then went into Newcastle for shopping and a few beverages on the Quayside before dinner at the Broad Chare pub - great food and warm, friendly environment. We abandoned the car and got a taxi back home, the only slight blot on the day was having to endure Britain's Got Talent on our return at Izzy's insistence.
