Bird on a blade of grass

After yesterday’s activity, today  has been a more relaxing day I’m pleased to say. We enjoy a lovely Sunday lunch with two of my nieces and their husbands - so nice to have the chance to chat and catch up on one another’s news. 

Walking back home through the park, we notice lots of fluttering in the meadow grasses to the side of the path. We’re surprised to find a blue tit attempting to perch on blades or stalks of grass - seemingly bemused to find them too delicate to hold his weight. Quite possibly he’s trying to catch small insects, but it does make us smile! He’s quite the little acrobat, and it’s certainly a change from the usual ‘bird on a stick’!
