Newlands Fells

Today was the day of the "Anniversary Waltz" fell race as well as the "Teenager With Altitude". The Teenager is 15.5 miles of running up and down 7600 feet - the climbing and descending is crammed into the first 12 miles which makes it quite demanding.

These fells are in the second half of the Teenager and the shot is taken from the very first climb, about an hour and a half before I reached these hills.

This is the first of the tough Lakeland races of the season and my legs are suffering now - but it is a "good suffering".
