Rail unions unstintingly greedy and unrealistic in pay demands over last two years.

Management shambolic and often intransigent.

Disgraceful use of social media to aggravate and propagandise rather than stated purpose of customer engagement.

Result? Thoroughly pissed-off customers, noticeably reflected in passenger anger with staff attempts at banter or flippancy. Normal sense of camaraderie, support or empathy finally, and frankly understandably, evaporated.
