At home: at last, the end of a warm spring day..

A proper spring day, at last. It was warm enough to put the chicks were out in the sun, in their run for the first time. It was warm enough to hang the washing out and think about drying two loads in one day. It was warm enough to mow the grass down the road track. It was warm enough to wash the kitchen floor and for it to be dry by the time I had watered and and hayed the horses, and sat with the sun on my face by the front door step.

The fields are coming green at last. Everything is properly coming back to life. The suns energy working at last. Summers coming!..x
