Today’s event

And very good it was too.
We walked over to Helions to join close on forty others for the walk up to and around the airfield.
The leader was very informative and even had a 1945 RAF map of the field and surroundings.
Most features have been removed but enough remains to imagine how it would have looked.
We did a shade over 9 miles all told and included a pint at ‘The ‘shoes’ and some roast potatoes!
