Getting ready

Jubilee weekend approaches so we thought that we should do a little more than running up the Union Jack on Thursday.  Some bunting has been ordered, and I thought I would hang a couple of old Union Jacks out of the front bedroom windows, but they proved to be a bit too large. 
 
Not to be defeated . . .
 
The bonus of hanging them inside is that they can be illuminated at night.  I stayed up after midnight to get this shot.
 
At extra is a shot of a robin which has decided that our homemade bread is the best food in the garden.
