Party dresses; or not.

The girls had a party in the church hall this afternoon, so Lily picked out exactly what she would like to wear the night before, including accessories and shoes. we tried to explain to Rohan that all the other children would be wearing party clothes, and I even ironed her a pretty skirt with sparkles on. But she was having none of it. "I'm wearing shorts". So that was that. At least I managed to persuade her to remove the shorts in order to put some pants on.
The party was funny, they had a disco in a wee smelly back room (had clearly suffered water damage at some point!) and it was most amusing to watch 3-5 year olds doing disco dancing. It made it worth the fact that we got caught it a massive (so heavy it made us laugh as we ran) downpour on the way home and my two loads of washing were done for.
