Memorial Day

Today we visited the American War cemetery to bring flowers to the grave of Capt. Bernard Sweet.
My parents adopted the grave after World War II and when they passed away, we took it over.
Bernard piloted a Thunderbolt of the 9th Air Force when he was killed in action on March 25th 1945.
He was born on October 25th 1919 in Rushford (NY USA),  much too young to die.
