I headed out first thing to meet an ex-work colleague for a leisurely and enjoyable breakfast at the Conservatory Cafe in Greenhead Park.

I am now fully up-to-date with all the comings and goings that have taken place since my retirement last September.

I nipped into the bank in the town centre afterwards to deposit some old one pound coins and a bag of five pence pieces which I recently found whilst clearing out drawers at home.

All the lawns mowed and trimmed this afternoon.

Cooked a vegetarian sausage dish for dinner.
