I'll be the first to admit that I dont know much about farming - but I want to learn. When we moved in this field was full of cows but after a while they disappeared. I would like to believe they went off to market to find new mummies and daddies to love them very much but I do know that in reality they have probably gone to the slaughterhouse :) After that the field appeared to be empty, just letting the grass grow. I did not realise that it was a crop which would be harvested. I have seen many of these trucks which seem to be full of grass cuttings - is this straw in the making?
I cant wait to see what is next for the field.

Another thing I dont know much about is oil fired boilers.The current one is about 20 years old and was smelly and had a very slight leak so we decided to install a new one now. A man came out today. He gave the pipe a very gentle kick with his boot and now the leak has stopped. He is going to give us a nice shiny new boiler located in a much better place, much more fuel economic and with no smell. Cant wait.
