Where are we

A trip to celebrate!! Interesting train journey, Saxilby to Doncaster was good, but when we got on the train to York it was absolutely packed, about 140% capacity!! I thought that I was going to have to stand for the 20 minutes but someone took pity on me.

We met up with R & S and spent a great afternoon sightseeing. We visited about 35 years ago and all I can remember of that visit was the Railway Museum. There is just so much going on today, including Vikings marching!!! There are also many groups of young ladies celebrating hen weekends, quite a sight!!

We are staying at an AirBnB fairly central, so rest time before going out for dinner at Bill’s, a new one for us, then back to watch Diamond League Athletics.

It’s lovely to be doing things that we haven’t done for a couple of years.
