Lady’s-slipper orchids

This one is Cypripedium Ulla Silkens. Another American hybrid.
Three years ago it has grown so large, with over 40 blooms, that it had to be split into three. I am pleased to say they are regrowing well.
This morning we went to see the Avocets again and I am pleased to report that 4 chicks have hatched. Although I took some shots as a record of the event, they were just too far away to provide a photo good enough for Blip.
