Bird's Foot Trefoil Visitor
I took a day off from decorating to explore the English naturalist Gilbert White's house and gardens at Selborne, followed up by a visit to nearby Noar Hill, a chalk downland nature reserve on a site of medieval chalk workings.
The nature reserve was very peaceful with a few butterflies flitting about and some early flowering orchids. I managed to capture this six-spotted burnet on a common bird's foot trefoil as the main fauna and flora currently to be seen [by me] on this site, so it just had to be the shot of the day.
