'Sailing the world with a piano'

It is Folk Festival weekend and Stromness is a hive of activity.

Here a small crowd has gathered to listen to Marieke Huysmans Berthou singing and playing the piano on this beautiful boat. Sailor, pianist and composer, she sails from port to port giving concerts.

We walked past later in the evening and paused for a closer look. The piano was nowhere to be seen. Marieke has some kind of mechanical system which lifts it from the back cabin to the deck for each performance.
