Sweet and Sassy
We had a much easier day. Our area was supposed to get bad storms but only saw rain. Our doctor is on a prolonged leave of absence due to a serious illness. I guess insurance rules here say, in order for doctors to write prescriptions, the patient must be examined at a certain frequency. I reached that limit so I had to waste part of my day in a “stand in” doctor’s office. Guess it was worth it; I need my meds. This is going to be a party weekend. I picked up groceries for my contributions. Hubby’s truck is fixed. They found two mouse nests by the time they looked into all the compartments. Due to rodent damage, we also had to get a new wiring harness. Grrr! Once home, hubby cut the grass, I got my blip, took care of laundry and put everything away. We have several Sweet William plants on the property. The flowers are dainty yet vibrant. I planted basil by some hosta plants in hopes it will deter the deer. Hubby spent the rest of the day at his computers working on various tasks. We have leftovers for dinner. Then, it’s definitely Kindle time. The news is so depressing. Sounds like there were multiple opportunities for a different outcome in Tx. Hopefully, schools, police and others throughout our country learn from this tragedy. My youngest daughter is heading to pick up the newest addition to the family: a Great Dane puppy. Her current Dane is showing signs of old age so she worries he will not be with them much longer. Keep your family safe this long Memorial Day holiday weekend. Thanks for visiting. “A world of grief and pain, flowers bloom – even then.” – Kobayashi Issa
