Shots 1 Daggers 0

A good game for the last home game of the season.

I took better pictures than this one, but I felt I had to post a picture of Michael Rankine who had been out of favour with Holdsworth, and loaned out to York City. Andy Scott has brought him back, and he put in a massive shift today. He was all over the pitch, attacking and defending, and whilst he lacked a little bit of quality to stamp his authority on the game, he had a couple of good efforts on goal, and was rewarded with our goal in front of the East Bank.

We're down but I'm still in love with my team and will be back supporting them next season :-)

The bigger worry is that the muppets in charge of the club seemed to have gambled on promotion with money that we didn't have. The boring football dished up by Holdsworth made shopping with the wife more interesting for many of our fans, and gate receipts have been down. Announcement to be made on Monday which could either positive, with a new investor in town, or not so positive, and the lure of going into administration hangs over our heads.

You would have thought that with the journey the Shots have been on, having been declared bankrupt and being kicked out of the league in 1992, they would have learned that the only things that matter to Shots fans are having a team to watch, and having players who look as if they are interested in playing attacking football.
