Around Buttermere

I really surprised myself today and was up and out the house by 7.30am for a walk around Buttermere. I wanted to be back by lunchtime as lots to do and I knew it would be busy there later on as the forecast was wall to wall sunshine which always brings out lots of people. It was great getting there early as there were free parking spaces to be had! When I got back a few hours later Buttermere was very busy with people and cars everywhere! We sat outside a little teashop and had coffee and toasted teacake, well I did, Bonnie had water and a bit of teacake!

We had a great walk around the Lake but what I hadn't taken into account was that some of it is quite tricky for old dogs as there's a section with lots of tree roots and rocks to clamber over so had to give Bonnie a helping hand on more than one occasion. It was so hard deciding what to blip today as I took lots of shots. Will put some on Flikr in the next few days.

I'm off to Windermere tomorrow and Monday morning for a works conference so will probably be back blipping when I'm back.
