Movie Monster

Our friend Mike has some property in the jungle that he works on regularly. He was cleaning out his well today, which involved descending 10 meters into a dark hole and scooping out the muck which had accumulated at the bottom. When he returned he said we wouldn't want to see what he found, but of course we were fascinated by these two tailless scorpions he was bringing home for show and tell. Imagine coming face to face with one of these, the bodies are about 10 cm long, but the legs easily stretch for half a meter or more, as you are climbing down a slippery metal ladder into a dank, dark pit. The only thing that would make them scarier on the big screen is if they were ten times a large, which I think I have seen on more than one occasion.
