Warm up in the sun ...

It was a beautiful day. Not too cold, not too warm. Bright sun and some clouds from time to time. Fine day to do things that have to be done in the garden.

When I looked in the small pond to the almost outcoming flower buds of yellow marsh marigold, I saw a small fly on one of the leaves.

What stood out were the reflection of the sunlight on the wings, the texture of the leaf surface and the almost transparent shadow of the fly.

I was lucky the fly stayed where it was till I had my macro lens mounted. The ratio is 1:1 and the length of the fly was about 15mm. You look in this frame to a magnification of about 6x. Not afraid to see more? Press the 'L' button on your keyboard ... ;)
