Wilcannia

Back blip 1

We have had no phone or internet reception for days. It’s quite different not being tied to the phone and I have missed the contact.

The blip is taken at the Warrawong park at Wilcannia. We travelled from Nyngan and set up beside this beautiful billabong. Last time we were here it was in a bad drought and this time there is water and green everywhere. The river Darling is overflowing.

The land is flat to gently undulating. Lots of goats, a few sheep and small green or silver scrubby trees.

There are few vehicles on the excellent road. Most are trucks or caravans.
