A walk to a volcano

We went by bus to the start of our walk to the crater of the extinct volcano, Volcano do Santa Margarita, just south of Olot.

This volcano has not erupted for thousands of years. There is a meadow and a chapel at the centre of the crater.

The woods below are wonderful.

These flowers were on the roadside and made a splendid show.
