Demolition

Demolition work going on in the centre of Newcastle.  A particularly ugly building (Commercial Union House) is being pulled down.  It's to be replaced with offices housing 9,000 HRMC workers.  

I haven't been in to Newcastle much recently but I think it is looking a bit run down since the pandemic hit.  Lots of shops closed so hopefully the extra work force will give the centre a much needed boost.  

The front of the art deco building on the right is going to be preserved which is good.
