Biltong & droëwors from a local Funchal butcher with a few other bits & pieces from the fridge. (Imarked the butcher ont eh map, in case you ever found yoursself in Funchal and want good biltong & droëwors.

C decided we had to look for beer mugs to buy as a memento and to use while we are here - there is only 4 glasses in the apartment and all of them are always dirty. Today we walked down the road and saw ones we like in a tourist shop, but they were EUR22.50 each, which was a bit more than what we were prepared to spend and run the risk that they may not reach home intact. Then the shopkeeper said we can have both for EUR30.00. That was worth the risk. Now we have huge mugs (1l) to drink small cans (330ml) of beer out of - extra.
