A day full of news of atrocities in the US (yet another school shooting….impossible to understand) and shocking behaviour in no10 (also yet again and all too predictable and disgusting).
In contrast I had a fairly quiet morning powering though the next step of salary reviews…much quicker than the previous set and I have high hopes that our deliberations next week won’t take long.
Meetings the rest of the day, one wasn’t quorate and was very disrupted and unsatisfactory….glad it’s my last one.
Met CK for Tanjore dosa and curry and lots of chat…then down to Festival Theatre to see Scottish Ballet’s Scandal at Meyerling. Very dark and murderous true story, with amazing costumes and some excellent dance. We were less convinced by the Prince, but weren’t sure if it was him or the choreography seeking to show his deteriorating mental state. Good evening though and home in daylight.
