Quercus Douglasii: Blue Oak

There are over 500 species of oak trees. This Blue Oak stands tall in our garden and is endemic to California, common to the CoastRanges and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. It is California's most drought tolerant, deciduous oak.

Sometimes it takes someone who is not a politician to stand tall and not mince words. Steve Kerr is the coach of the Golden State Warriors and made this statement at his press conference before a playoff game against the Dallas Mavericks.
