Bee Pincushion

The bees are enjoying the pretty pink Knautia macedonica in my garden. They are lovely flowers which grow quite tall and waft about in the breeze. They attract bees and butterflies and bloom throughout the summer. The buds are tight little clusters surrounded by the spiky leaves, making them look like sunbursts or stars. See second photo.
