We are leaving ......

I was feeling a bit better today - thanks god!!
Thanks god too for the late check out as I was quite slow in packing ......

This blip will be a bit weird as we were travelling over 2 days.

We left the cottage at 3 pm and checked in at the airport.
We had gained far too much merch so we had to check in my hand luggage case as a third bad and I carried my tech in a small rucksack - best merch Neil looted at the conference!!!

I will not bore you too much with dificultied at check in via the apps, more messed up seat reservations on all 3 flights and no options to change it online.

At PB airport the staff was helpful but could not do anything about the long haul flight ....

We got into the lounge at PB and I finally had some appetite and ate something - and felt alright too - WIN!!!

Our flight was delayed and we landed an hour late in Atlanta.

We had plenty of time and went to the lounge there as well.

We managed to get ur seats changed at the service desk and we happy that the flight was operated by a KLM plane  ... WIN!!!

Also were winning when we overheard a conversation that the boarding will be at least an hour delayed - they did not even let the crew on board ....

Which meant we got back to the lounge ... WIN!

When we went back to the gate we were still waiting and there were no announcements about the flight delay ... they just let all the passengers wait without information ....

The announcement about how amazing, exceptional and efficient ATL airport is just made us laugh ...

When we finally boarded we realised they had changed our seats again .... 
We managed to get that changed again and ended up with a window and a middle seat in the "creche" part of the airplane ....

The flight was packed and we were surrounded by kids and non stop coughing people ..... 
No one enforced masks ... crew did not wear any too - which was funny when the "we are here for your safety" video played showing how everyone is wearing masks and how they make sure the flights are covid safe ..... 

I managed to sleep - with mask and thanks to sleeping pills .....
