Lindisfarne Castle

The classic and iconic view of the castle with the pilings of the old jetty in the foreground. Just how they drove these pilings into the solid rock I don't know but they did a great job because they're still here after all these years.

What the photo doesn't show is although the sun is out and it was quite warm the wind was blowing a hoolie...

Another great day just enjoying the peace and quiet of the place.
