Cutting threads

Another one of the ‘last bits and bobs’ that need finishing on the R100s. The new smart electronics unit requires a speed signal input, and the bike only has a mechanical cable driven speedometer… so I placed an additional speed sensor in a bracket on the rear swing arm a while back. The only thing missing was a magnet on the rear wheel that the hidden sensor can read from.

I drilled a hole through the rim and cut some threads in it, then installed a bolt in which the magnet is glued (see extra).
