Towering

A trip to Carcassonne - though George decides he wants to stay home. 

Spectacular place. I like the way people still use the medieval parts of the town, and the loads of stone being carried (by tractor rather than mule) make you realise that keeping up with repairs must be quite a task. 

Maybe it was the heat, but to me these towers look like two hefty witches crowding in on a smaller one. In my defence, it was a hot day.
