Not an Amaryllis

I’m not channeling Magritte here; these plants - although sold as Amaryllis - are actually called Hippeastrum

Ours ist flowering right now, which makes me happy - not least because I once rescued its bulb. It had been overwatered, and started to rot. Now it’s doing well again, and produces several flowers every year.

Last night, it finally rained here. I loved the fresh air this morning, and had a productive day at work. In my lunch break, I drove into town, collected P’s prescriptions from the GP, and bought some asparagus and strawberries on the way. All good.
