2704. Schrevendorf

I have no idea where we are so this is from the GPS on my phone but we’re not far from Kiel. We’ve been to a U-Boat memorial where there are 40,000 names of lost souls. This statue of what appears to be a fisherman saving a girl from the sea, it says Gerretet on the plaque but I can’t find a reference to it online. It is rather beautiful. A 4 hour drive to where we are and we’re just about ready to head back to the hotel….there were major delays on our journey here so it could take us 4 hours to get back too!
