The neighbourhood bully
I've mentioned the propensity of our common or garden black squirrels to behave as if they own the place: it's getting worse.
As I was sitting on the back deck reading, I became aware of a presence on the steps to the garden. A brooding, menacing presence. A penetrating stare. Paddington-Bear-like in its meaningfulness.
Yes, the bloody squirrel is back. And it wants feeding.
I did my best to ignore it, and it came away. The it came back again. And stayed.
So I went away.
