Sunday ...

... road trip.

Summer weather has hit us hard these past two days with temps well into the 90's.  

That said ... we tried to beat the heat by going out earlier than is our habit.  We decided to go to Minsi Lake to see the purple martins that have returned to their nesting boxes.  The lighting wasn't right to get any decent pictures of them today.  But we still had fun. 

We were somewhat surprised that the lake wasn't busier.  We only saw a handful of people fishing and only a few kayakers.  We were lucky enough to be there when these fishermen put their boat in the lake.  And I was happy that they ... with the exception of one ... waved at me as I took their picture!
