New
Looking a bit grey but we decided to visit the Newhailes Estate for the monthly market and a bit of an explore since I’d never been there before. We enjoyed a coffee and morning roll then a wander round the market and grounds. Lots of birdsong but we’d missed the bluebells. We enjoyed the woodland walk but the shell grotto and water gardens are clearly in need of restoration! Good to find and explore somewhere new, and I’ll come back when V is doing her tour guide bit. We picked up our food shopping then stopped at Portobello for a wander along the prom and a browse in the art gallery. Warmer than yesterday and glimpses of sun but then some light drizzle at times, and we kept thinking how Paisley would not be able to cope with all the other dogs around…they’ve got a dog behaviourist coming on Tuesday so it will be interesting to see if anything can be done or if the behaviour’s too ingrained to change.
We shared a delicious fish finger sandwich on the prom from the Shrimp Shack….so delicious, then home for a cup of tea, some tidying up and laundry and a bit more sofa time before S and I walked down to Noto for dinner. Delicious shared plates of some gorgeous flavours…mainly simple but gorgeous. Would definitely come again.
Walked back, in lovely evening sun giving great views across the city skyline and castle. Love this time of year with the long evenings.
Managed 14000 steps today as well as enjoying some very tasty treats…hopefully the steps balanced out the gluttony!
