Knowing that there was the likelihood of more storms this afternoon, we got out for another bike ride this morning, this time, starting from Milford and heading north. The river had calmed a little from yesterday’s raging torrent, but there was still plenty of evidence of Thursday night’s storms in the way of debris on the trail, and fallen branches at the side of the trail. We hadn’t been home long, before the first rain arrived, and the storms continued on and off throughout the afternoon and into the evening. I just managed to blip one of our peonies before the rain came.
I had ordered a new light weight quilt for our bed for the summer, and it arrived today, so whilst I was at it, I took the bed skirt off and washed it together with the quilted mattress cover, took the electric blanket off and put clean sheets on. So a nice fresh look to the bed. All I need now is to tidy up the rest of the bedroom!
