The clear white light of, what promises to be a beautiful April day, encouraged me to look more closely at this silver birch. I imaging there was no fog on the Tyne this morning. After the oak tree, the silver birch is claimed to host the most diverse range of life of any tree in Britain. I couldn't resist the call of the wild but now I'll run for home.
