We finally made it…….

…..to York.

Not without its drama, first our trains were cancelled so we decided to use our senior bus passes and go on the bus, straight forward you’d think, but no it’s Sunday and the last bus for Scarborough leaves York at 6.30.  Luckily we have a plan C (Are you still with me) drive halfway and pick up the bus at Malton and return at 9 o’clock, loads of time for a river cruise and sightseeing before we meet up with Mr PC  B- in- law and partner. Huh! thats before we hit a traffic hold up on the A64 due to an event at Scampston Hall.

 All in all it took an extra hour and we just made our river cruise by the skin of our teeth.
