Poetry Books
I know I've blipped one of these books before back in February but I'm packing up some books at the moment and I loved the way the light and shadows were hitting these copies.
Today I'll share with you the poem that Blaine had published in this book at 13yrs old.
Andy's Nightmare
Wavering echoes cascade on to you,
You run away, into another hall,
Halls, halls, halls! How many have you explored?
Explored quite nearly the whole of this palace,
Palace of dead and horrors of legends,
Legends from the world and those not yet told,
Told you so!
They told you of the dangers,
Dangers are lots and one is due,
Andy, Andy, seek the exit before it comes,
Comes down from the stone ceiling, shrieking skulls,
Skulls of pure white bone,
They came from the lost,
Lost you are soon to be, seek a way out,
Out! There is a way out there. Run, Andy!
Andy, dodge their sonic blasts, duck and swerve,
Swerve to the left, around the next corner,
Corner, curse you, Andy has split his head,
Head will be a shrieker
Andy is dead.
