Ardgour

The ferry was busy tonight. When I arrived to join the end of a long queue I doubted that I would get on this sailing. The ferry has a deceptively large capacity and I watched as the crew skilfully directed cars and trucks to make use of every square inch of deck space. I was heartened as the queue continued to move forward. Finally the car immediately in front of me was beckoned forward to board and I thought I'm going to get on. The ramp was then raised and the boat sailed without me. At least I was first on board for the next crossing and afforded me time to take an uninspired blip with drizzle blowing in the wind
