Rosebuds and raindrops

Heavy rain and howling wind,
Sending autumn leaves twisting and turning to the sodden ground.
Chimes from the wind chime trilled through the garden,
While birds catch the current and glide by.
Red petals of Dublin Bay float to the ground,
While new buds stretch to capture the raindrops against a pale sky.

A day spent in the comforts of home, a day for soup and all things warming while the rain continues to fall and the wind continues to howl.
