Scapa Flow

Today we visited Scapa Flow, the Italian Chapel and had lunch in the delightful cafe run by Sheila Fleet.

The main blip is one of the Block Ships used to block German ships entering the Flow before the installation of the Churchill Barriers to also prevent entrance by submarines.  The extra is the inside of the Italian Chapel, built by Italian POW's from two Nissan Huts joined together and decorated by Domenico Chioccheti
