White and Green on a Grey Day

For the last several days, Americans have once again been glued to the news, trying to make sense out of yet another senseless disaster in our country.

As the child of Russian/Armenian immigrant parents, my heart is heavy for those who have fled oppression to find the freedom of our country, never imagining hurting those who gave them asylum.

Spring has arrived late to New Jersey. In fact, 2013 has been full of many trying events.

Today offered a bit of hope when I exited the local market and captured this photo.

It was a grey day, but bright blossoms of white and fresh leaves of green lifted my head and my spirits.
