Knowing that the weather was set to deteriorate, I began my walk with Django by going up to Uttershill with its great view of Penicuik and the Pentlands. Now all the trees are out, it's changed a lot since I was up there in early April. From there we descended to the old railway and made a big loop around the town.

My afternoon was relaxed. I did a bit of coding and watched some of the athletics before the Scottish Cup final. I wouldn't normally want Hearts to win, but they were playing Rangers. I was pleased to see the Jambos have a good go at the Hun, but it wasn't to be and, to be fair, the better side won.
