Our first strawberries this year

A chilly start to the day but later I have spent several hours at the allotment, weeding, watering and…picking the first strawberries which are delicious…so much nicer than supermarket ones. I think there will be lots over the next couple of weeks, they all seem to come at the same time even though we have different varieties.
We now have courgettes, cucumbers, potatoes, mange tout and beans growing so lots of ageing needed if there has been no rain, until they are bigger plants.

I also decided to start a turn out of our garage and will try to get rid of things we have not used for several years on Freecycle.  It will take several sessions to go through everything and clean as well. Maybe tomorrow I will uncover the small snooker table which has not seen the light of day for at least five years!  It has a cover on it and is used as a dumping ground!
