Emergency Garden Blip

I had hoped to find a blip when P, his pal B and I went for a walk this afternoon. But after we had walked for about 20 minutes, P’s sciatic nerve decided to give him hell. He was in so much pain on the way back, I wasn’t sure if he would get here at all.

All our plans of blipping, walking, and going for a meal later (as we had planned) became obsolete. After a rest and some painkillers, he is a bit better now - but we’re unlikely to go for another walk, any time soon.

I went into the garden to find a blip, and found two. A lovely rose, and busy bumblebees in the raspberry bush.

Update, 4 hours later: P’s pain got worse again, so much that I phoned a GPs “on call” service (Ärztlicher Notdienst). Two hours after the call, a friendly doctor appeared, examined him and gave him an injection with a strong painkiller. I hope that this will help P to sleep and heal.

The poor GP hated to be in our house though, because she’s allergic to cats. Now I wonder why the FFP2 mask she wore wouldn’t help with cat hair - it’s fine enough to hold back viruses, after all.
