….. ….. on the Arrow River

The colour and clarity of the river was so beautiful today. I’ve never noticed it like this before but I’m guessing it’s from the melting snow.

It’s behind the bend in the river where the Arrow spills out of the Arrow Gorge, making its way to join the Kawarau. Many locals are distraught that the larches on German Hill are going to be destroyed, due to their smothering native plants.
They are such a sight in the Autumn and the residents’ concern are understandable. But we don’t want our mountains covered in larches either and apparently they’ll just keep taking over. It’s a worry.
