Loch of Stenness

Cycling to the ferry at Stromness, my plan was to peddle all around the coast, across to Birsay, then down past Skara Brae, but the first 10 miles was just so up and down, that I turned into the Southerly wind at Birsay, and came down the main road instead - 15 miles of unremitting head wind on a single long straight road… the upside was passing near the Ring of Brodgar and Stenness Stines again - albeit in the distance, stopping to take this photo, and of course, cycling through Twatt…
