Invisible goldfinches

When I first woke up, at 6 am, courtesy of DaveH's alarm, the next thing I heard was a swift screaming past outside. Hurray! Went up to the allotment but had to stop after an hour or so as I was in danger of catching the sun, and hadn't taken my silly hat.Think it must be almost summer.

On my way back from the allotment I could hear goldfinches chirruping their heads off above me, but they were invisible amongst the elm's greenery.
